    Ramtin Haghnazar, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Architecture at Virginia Tech and co-founder of Dahi Studio, in Blacksburg, VA

Dr. Haghnazar is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Virginia Tech and co-founder of Dahi Studio, specializing in designing freeform structures through computational design and advanced digital fabrication techniques like 3D printing and robotics. His impactful work spans notable global projects in cities such as Frankfurt, Toronto, and Tehran, earning him prestigious awards, including two Gold medals from the Architizer A+ Awards and various honors at the Memar Awards. He holds degrees from the University of Tehran, where his Ph.D. research focused on developing computational tools for architects. Dr. Haghnazar has also taught design and fabrication courses at multiple institutions and co-directed the Digital Craft House (DCH) from 2019 to 2022, enhancing digital fabrication capabilities and providing hands-on experience for students in complex architectural projects.

    Stewart Jeske, MS, P.E.

Founder and President, JEI Structural Engineering; Author, Speaker, and Inventor, in Kansas City, MO

Mr. Jeske has built one of the industry’s most respected “P.E. Dream Teams”—a group of engineers and drafters delivering hundreds of projects each year with a 74% client retention rate, providing façade engineering services across the United States and in select international markets. With Professional Engineering (P.E.) licenses in 48 states, He leads projects ranging from high-rise façades to specialty glass structures. His portfolio includes structural glass engineering for the Liberty Bell Pavilion, large-span glass walls, and complex designs for zoo and aquarium animal enclosures where safety, visibility, and durability are critical. JEI’s everyday expertise spans curtain walls, storefront systems, skylights, glass balconies, glass floors, and glass canopies—any project requiring unique knowledge of glass structure, connections, and performance. Because U.S. universities teach engineering students to design in steel, wood, and concrete—but not glass or glazing—expertise in this field is rare. Mr. Jeske and the JEI Dream Team have built their knowledge through decades of hands-on project experience, becoming a go-to resource for architects, contractors, and manufacturers seeking to push the limits of what glass can do. He is the owner of four U.S. patents and a patent pending, including three related to façade systems and is a sought-after continuing education presenter on glazing system design. For the past three years, he has also authored “Engineered Connections” in USGlass Magazine, sharing technical insights, best practices, and forward-looking perspectives with thousands of industry professionals. Before founding JEI, Mr. Jeske served as a Senior Structural Engineer at Burns & McDonnell and as a Base Civil Engineer in the U.S. Air Force. He earned his B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and his M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. From landmark cultural sites to complex specialty structures, Mr. Jeske’s career reflects a commitment to innovation, constructibility, and delivering building envelopes that are as durable and safe as they are visually striking.

    Daniel S. Fisher, P.G.

Hydrogeologist with the Florida Geological Survey and Owner/Principal of Wetstone Solutions LLC.

Mr. Fisher has more than 30 years of experience constructing hundreds of customized, site-specific, calibrated groundwater flow and contaminant transport models for both private and public clients. As a senior level hydrogeologist, he brings a comprehensive understanding of geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics to the table while using specialized investigative techniques such as graphical analyses, statistics, groundwater flow modeling and contaminant transport modeling. His experience includes all aspects of remedial and hydrogeological investigations including soil/groundwater sampling programs; groundwater monitoring system design; monitoring and extraction well installation and development; aquifer characterization, testing and evaluation; and many types of environmental data collection, management, and interpretation techniques in many geologic terranes. Mr. Fisher has experience with conceptual and actual designs for remediation of fuel and solvent-related soil and groundwater contamination at privately and publicly owned waste management sites. He knows the natural chemical characteristics of groundwater, as well as the occurrence and behavior of man-made organic and inorganic contaminants. Mr. Fisher’s experience allows him to conceptualize and describe complex problems and to present solutions in three-dimensions in order to bring clarity to complex technical discussions. He uses a wide variety of mathematical and modeling tools including: GMS, MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3DMS, RT3D and PEST as well as simpler, less labor-intensive analytical models.
