All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and offers 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Heather Holdridge, EIT

Associate AIA LEED Fellow, Associate Partner, Sustainability Director

Ms. Holdridge, LEED Fellow, EIT, Associate AIA is the Sustainability Director at Lake|Flato Architects. Leveraging her background in mechanical engineering, she directs all Lake|Flato teams in establishing sustainability goals. Ms. Holdridge devises strategies and systems to realize those goals under programs such as LEED, the 2030 Challenge, and the Living Building Challenge. She works closely with teams to evaluate passive systems and performs energy modeling throughout the design process. Ms. Holdridge received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Course Title: International Green Construction Code (IgCC) 2021

Course Description: This course examines the history and development of the International Green Construction Code (IgCC), its relation to conventional building and energy codes, and its adoption and enforcement. It covers code administration, site development, material use, energy, water environmental quality and building commissioning, and improvements to existing buildings.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to explain how the IgCC was developed, its relationship to conventional building codes, energy codes, and LEED green building certifications, and they will be able to explain how the IgCC is adopted and enforced.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IgCC provisions for site development, land use, material resource conservation and efficiency.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IgCC provisions for energy conservation, efficiency and atmospheric quality, water resource conservation and efficiency, indoor environmental quality and comfort, and building commissioning.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to discuss IgCC compliance standards for improvements to and retrofits for existing buildings.
