Description

A foundation pour proceeds without a required inspection. A structural steel connection is concealed before verification. An unresolved deficiency surfaces just as a project approaches sign-off.

In New York City, one overlooked inspection can trigger costly delays, compliance problems, and potential liability. And with requirements under the 2022 NYC Building Code Chapter 17 and Department of Buildings regulations, there is little room for guesswork.

Are you confident you know what must be inspected, when, and by whom?

Join Gregory C. Moormann, P.E., R.A., QRWI, who has worked on more than 1,000 various building construction projects across the tri-state region, for a practical guide to navigating NYC special inspections, from initial planning to final reporting.

Learn how to identify required inspections; coordinate agency and project-team responsibilities; address soil, foundation, concrete, masonry, and structural steel requirements; protect tenants and neighboring structures during excavation, alterations, and demolition; and document deficiencies, resolve nonconforming work, and complete DOB reporting.

Don’t let an inspection oversight put your schedule, your project, or your professional responsibilities at risk.
