Description

A parcel map sails through until a mitigation fee nobody planned for shows up mid process.

A developer secures a vesting tentative map only to watch the entitlement expire before construction begins.

A city imposes a condition of approval that ends up decided in court instead of at the counter.

The Subdivision Map Act governs every step of turning raw land into approved parcels.

Miss one requirement along the way, and the map, and the project, can stall for years.

So if you’re not sure how a tentative map differs from a vesting tentative map, don’t know which exemptions or waivers apply, or aren’t sure how recent case law and ADU legislation change your approach, this training is for you.

Join Douglas Wance as he walks through the Subdivision Map Act from filing to final map, exactly as it plays out in practice…

…PLUS gives you the latest on case law, legislative changes, and ADU rules reshaping subdivision approvals across California.

Drawing on his cross-disciplinary practice in land use, entitlements, water resources, and environmental compliance, and his experience representing both public agencies and private developers throughout California, this training will help you manage subdivision maps with confidence, from application through judicial review.

Don’t let a missed exemption, a blown deadline, or an unresolved condition turn your subdivision map into years of litigation.
