Description
Your client is adding a wing to an older building and converting part of it into a clinic. Which requirements apply, and which compliance path makes sense? Under the 2025 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State, guessing wrong means costly rework.
The code has changed and so have the expectations.
Compliance decisions made early in design now ripple through energy credits, renewable energy requirements, air leakage testing and field verification. A misstep can mean redesign, failed inspections or delayed occupancy.
This full-day webinar gives you a clear, step-by-step approach from first design decisions through closeout. You’ll leave ready to:
- Choose the right compliance path with a practical decision tree
- Meet envelope and air leakage testing requirements
- Get controls and commissioning right
- Calculate energy credits and meet renewable energy requirements
- Apply Chapter 5 to existing buildings
Short examples, a worked credit calculation and live discussion let you practice identifying what applies and documenting compliance.
Learn from an expert who works on New York’s energy code. Art Pakatar supports NYSERDA’s energy code training and brings more than 40 years of experience in construction, codes and design. As a NYS Certified Code Enforcement Officer and ICC-certified Plans Examiner, he knows what reviewers and inspectors look for.
This is your chance to get it right the first time.
Register now and head into your next New York State project with confidence.
