All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 2.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in most states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Steven Deverel, Ph.D., P.G., C. HG.

Principal Hydrologist with HydroFocus, Inc. in Davis, CA

Mr. Deverel, Principal Hydrologist with HydroFocus, Inc. in Davis, CA. Dr. Deverel has more than 40 years of hydrologic problem-solving experience in California and throughout the western United States. After completing a doctorate at the University of California at Davis in 1983, Dr. Deverel worked as a Researcher at the US Geological Survey until 1991. During this period, he investigated the hydrologic and geochemical processes associated with land subsidence. From 1991 to 1994, he served as the Assistant District Chief for the US Geological Survey California District, overseeing data collection and research for northern California. Since May 1994, he has worked in the private sector, opened a consulting firm in 1996 and cofounded HydroFocus, Inc. in 1998. Steven has authored numerous publications related to land subsidence and strategies for mitigating subsidence and has also led and participated in key investigations into impacts of subsidence on ecosystem processes, agriculture, and infrastructure. Steven is a registered Professional Geologist in California and Arizona, a registered Professional Geoscientist in Texas, a certified Hydrogeologist in California and a registered Professional Hydrologist with the American Institute of Hydrology.
