All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.
Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. These live, interactive webinars are designed to qualify for continuing education credit for professional engineers and architects in most states. Course participants need to be aware of any licensing restrictions on online learning to fulfill their continuing education requirements.

Course Description: This 1.0 hour live, interactive webinar presentation examines ethical issues in the context of structural design, including the standard of care, building classification, load design, safety features, and repairs.

Learners will be able to identify the ethical duties of design professionals who work in structural design.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will eb able to define the duty of competency as a requirement of the codes of professional conduct for architects and engineers.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to identify the breadth of, and limitations to, their ethical duty to inform clients of material facts about their projects.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to define specific ethical duties involved with structural design work, such as duties involved in making design calculations and structural classifications.
