All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Vice President Residential Sewage Treatment Company (RSTC)
Mr. Fritts is vice-president of Residential Sewage Treatment Company, Inc., in Grandview, Missouri where they design, sell and service alternative onsite wastewater systems. He is past president of the Missouri Smallflows Organization (MSO), the Kansas Small Flows Association (KSFA) and the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA). He is an approved instructor for NOWRA, the Consortium of Institutes for Decentralized Wastewater Treatment, and for several states across the country. Mr. Fritts is the 2016 recipient of the NOWRA “Dick Otis Industry Achievement Award” and the 2015 Kansas Small Flows Association “Raymond Peat Industry Achievement Award.”

Course Title: Septic System Design, Construction and Maintenance Focus on Missouri

Course Description: This 6.5 hour live lecture presentation covers the benefits of treating wastewater onsite, soil and site evaluation processes, the function, operation and maintenance of septic tanks, aerobic treatment units, wastewater drip irrigation functionality and sizing, and determining the correct wastewater system for particular sites.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to describe the function of septic tanks, their operation and maintenance, and issues that can compromise septic tanks.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to describe the function and application of wastewater drip irrigation systems, and they will be able to match the correct system (conventional, ATU, or wastewater drip irrigation) with particular sites.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to explain the value of treating wastewater onsite, and they will be able to discuss why it is important to evaluate and understand soil profiles and soil loading rates when designing a septic system.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to distinguish aerobic treatment units (ATUs) from conventional septic systems, differentiate types of ATUs, and identify issues that affect their function.
