This webinar is open to the public and is designed to offer 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours to licensed architects in all states.

Mr. Rubenzer started FORSE in 2010, were he works as a delegated designer for other structural engineers on designs involving steel, concrete, PT concrete, masonry, and wood construction. He often speaks on the topics of software use and best practices in masonry design. Mr. Rubenzer has over 20 years of experience and is a licensed structural engineer (SE) and a professional engineer (PE) in many of the Midwestern states. He has also been a consultant to IMI for the past 10 years.

Learners will be able to review codes and guidelines that relate to masonry construction, including the International Building Code, International Residential Code, The Masonry Code, ASTM masonry standards, and local codes and standards.

Learners will be able to explore different kinds of masonry materials and products, including stone, brick, and concrete units, masonry veneer, reinforced clay masonry and concrete masonry.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to engage in structural masonry design, identify requirements for structural components, and discuss the types of masonry veneers.

Learners will be able to review masonry construction procedures, components, lintels, and prefabricated masonry and discuss the sustainability of masonry.
