Continuing Education Credit Information

Each two-day webinar offers CLE credits to attorneys and paralegals in select states. Community Property Taxation is approved for 6.0 CLE hours in California, Louisiana, Texas and Washington, 7.0 CLE hours in Wisconsin, and course approval is applied for and pending in Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico. Joint Community Property is approved for 4.0 CLE hours in California, Louisiana, Texas and Washington, 4.5 CLE hours in Wisconsin, and course approval is applied for and pending in Idaho, and Nevada. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Arizona (6.0/4.0 CLE hours). HalfMoon Education is a California-approved CLE sponsor. Due to the non-attorney faculty, this program is not eligible for New Mexico CLE credit.

Community Property Taxation offers accountants 7.0 CPE credits and Joint Community Property offers accountants 4.5 CPE credits. HalfMoon Education is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Each group live webcasts offers intermediate level CPE credit in the area of taxes. A basic knowledge of federal tax is recommended, and no advance preparation is required. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org. Sponsor No. 103015. Participation in these webinars is monitored, and a brief-knowledge retention quiz will be administered at the conclusion of each presentation. Completion certificates will be available after successful completion of each quiz.

Doug Moy, President - Doug H. Moy, Inc.

Doug H. Moy, President, Doug H. Moy, Inc., exclusively fee-paid Consulting Specialist in estate/gift taxation and planning. Since 1979, he has consulted to attorneys, CPAs, Enrolled Agents, and tax return preparers on estate planning strategies, tax issues and operation of illegal domestic abusive trust tax shelters. Holding an active PTIN, he prepares U.S. estate and gift tax returns. For 11 years, Mr. Moy taught CPE courses at Portland Community College. For 12 consecutive years, he designed and coordinated the Annual National Estate Tax Conference for the National Society of Accountants (NSA), teaching at those conferences and many national conferences for the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), of which he is an active member. He earned a B.A. degree from Willamette University and a Master’s degree from Washington State University.
