Continuing Education Credit Information
Each of these webinars offer 4.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 4.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects in all states.
HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida (Provider No. 0004647), Indiana (License No. CE21700059), Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No. 24GP00000700), and North Carolina (S-0130). The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System has approved each course for 4.0 LU|HSW (Sponsor No. J885). Only full participation is reportable to the AIA/CES.
The International Code Council has approved each event for .4 CEUs in the specialty area of Building (Preferred Provider No. 1232).
Completion certificates will be awarded to participants who complete these events online, respond to prompts, and earn a passing score (80%) on the quiz that follows the presentation (multiple attempts allowed).
Jared Agee MCP CBO
Division Director of Building and Code Enforcement for St. Charles County, Missouri
Mr. Agee is the director of Building and Code Enforcement for St. Charles County, Missouri. Previously, he worked in urban and suburban municipal governments managing building code enforcement, facilities, and information technology. Prior to his public sector positions, Mr. Agee worked in the construction industry in design and project management.
He has an undergraduate degree in Architectural and Mechanical Design and a graduate degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis. As a Master Code Professional, Mr. Agee is one of approximately 800 people to obtain the highest level of certification from the International Code Council. He currently holds a total of 28 certifications in building, energy, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and accessibility areas.
Mr. Agee is a former president of the Missouri Association of Building Officials and Inspectors (MABOI). In addition, he founded Regimen Consulting LLC, which provides code training and technology consultation to various organizations across the country.

Course Description: This course on the International Residential Code examines significant changes found in the 2021 version of the code, Chapters 11-44. Topics include a comparison of 2018 and 2021, a review of major changes, energy conservation, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, electric requirements, and a review of relevant appendices.
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to discuss and reference major changes to the IRC between the 2018 and 2021 versions, and explain why the changes are important and how they will impact future construction projects.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to identify and describe changes to the Energy Conservation sections of the code found in Chapter 11 ([RE] Energy Efficiency).
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to comply with changes to the mechanical requirements of the code found in Chapters 12-23, the Fuel Gas requirements (Chapter 24), Plumbing (Chapters 25-33), and Electrical (Chapters 34-43).
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to discuss Chapter 44 (Referenced Standards) and examine the contents of all relevant appendices.
