Webinar Instructions

All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

These live, interactive webinars are designed to qualify for continuing education credit for professional engineers and architects in most states. Please see each webinar listing for the number of available continuing education credits. Course participants need to be aware of any licensing restrictions on online learning to fulfill their continuing education requirements.

Kristofor Kvarfordt

Cache County and Utah State University

Landscape Architect/Land Planner
Mr. Kvarfordt is a landscape architect and land planner with over fifteen years of experience working on a broad range of projects throughout Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and California. His experience includes large scale planning, trail and open space master planning, campus master planning and detailed site design and construction management for commercial and institutional projects.
He has had direct responsibility for management and construction observation for several rainwater harvesting, green infrastructure and low impact development projects throughout Cache County and on the Utah State University campus.
Mr. Kvarfordt works closely with civil engineers and other project specialists to create plans that are well integrated into all the various components of a project. His expertise is on developing site solutions that meet the needs of the user, while integrating innovative storm water collection, water sensitivity, treatment and re-use solutions.
Mr. Kvarfordt also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Utah State University. He is a licensed landscape architect in the State of Utah. Mr. Kvarfordt received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture degrees from Utah State University.

Course Description: This 1.5 hour live, interactive webinar presentation examines stormwater management techniques, including rain gardens, pervious pavement, vegetated filter strips, retention and reuse, wetlands and infiltration.

Learners will be able to use bio-retention cells (rain gardens) to improve onsite stormwater infiltration.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to improve stormwater infiltration using pervious pavements.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to consider options for stormwater reuse to reduce stormwater runoff.

Learners will be able to identify the benefits of wetlands for infiltrating stormwater and improving stormwater quality.
