Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Devin Abellon, P.E. is the Business Development Manager for Engineering Services at Uponor North America. He has 29 years of experience in the HVAC and plumbing. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He serves on the ASHRAE Board of Directors as the Region X DRC.

Tiffany Bates Abruzzo

Ms. Abruzzo is a Senior Application Engineer at ClimaCool Corp. As a Chemical Engineering graduate from Arizona State University, Ms. Abruzzo started in HVAC Sales at a representative firm in Phoenix. Ms. Abruzzo just celebrated 20 years of active volunteerism as an ASHRAE member.

Course Title: Hydronic and Radiant Heating Systems

Course Description: This 6-hour course will cover the fundamentals of hydronic heating systems and radiant heating systems, discuss boilers, liquids and heat exchangers, explore smart heating electrification, analyze radiant system design, and discuss the installation and operation considerations of these systems.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to identify hydronic heating components, explain system operation and applications, and discuss energy usage and efficiency.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to explore smart heating electrification to assist with decarbonization and integration with air-source heat pumps and water-source heat pumps.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to explain the basics of radiant heat transfer and the benefits of hydronic radiant heating systems and analyze typical design, operating parameters and design for slab construction.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to assist with zoning a radiant system, sizing and locating manifolds, installing systems, and identifying control strategies and the most common design and installation errors (and how to avoid them).
