Speakers

Mohsen Tahmasebi Nasab, PhD

Water Resources Engineer, AECOM

Dr. Tahmasebi Nasab is a water resources engineer at AECOM, a researcher, and a former Civil Engineering professor at the University of St. Thomas. His professional interests deal with modeling and analyzing hydrologic processes. Particularly, the main objectives of Dr. Tahmasebi Nasab’s work are to improve the understanding of macro-scale hydrologic processes in cold-climate regions, and to improve macro-scale representation and modeling of depression-dominated areas in hydrologic models. To achieve these objectives, he develops macro-scale hydrologic models in which downscaled satellite data are incorporated. Alongside professional activities, he spends his time hiking and volunteering in community organizations. He has earned his B.S. degree from Gorgan University of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources; his M.S. degree from the University of Tehran; and his PhD degree from North Dakota State University.
