Before undertaking any self-study effort, you should review the rules of your licensing/certifying entity.
You must take and pass a quiz in order to receive credit. You can take the quiz as many times as needed and there is no time limit on the quiz. Once the quiz is completed, you will be asked to download your certificate.
Videos that qualify for AIA, LACES, ASLA, or CLARB credit will require an extra week for processing.

Mr. Hein has over 35 years of experience in the design, evaluation, construction and maintenance of pavements. He has worked extensively with permeable pavements over the past 15 years developing standards, tools, guidelines, design and construction best practices and maintenance manuals to ensure quality and long-lasting permeable pavements. Mr. Hein is the chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers Transportation and Development Institute Standards Committee that recently published a standard for the design, construction and maintenance of permeable interlocking concrete pavements. His research projects include the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Project 25-25 Task 82 titled “Permeable Shoulders with Stone Reservoirs” that project design, construction and maintenance guidelines for the use of permeable pavement shoulders for roadways and highways along with many permeable pavement demonstration projects. Mr. Hein is also the author of the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Tech Brief on pervious concrete and permeable pavers.
Mr. Hein is a recognized expert of the structural and hydrologic design and maintenance of permeable pavements and has completed hundreds of presentations, webinars and workshops on permeable pavement design both nationally and internationally.
