Webinar Instructions

All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Speakers

Scott Peyton

General Manager/Owner of American Loop Services

Mr. Peyton is a 15 year veteran in the Army Corps of Engineers. During this time he built, advised, and facilitated major construction projects and techniques throughout Europe and the United States. He holds a Masters degree in Business from Webster University, and several undergraduate degrees from Drury College. Mr. Peyton has worked as the Executive Director of a local deaf and hard of hearing non-profit service organization and is proficient in the design and installation of induction loop systems. Mr. Peyton has been installing induction (hearing) loop systems since 2005. In the past 16 years he has designed and installed simple to complex systems from Wasilla Alaska to San Luis Potosi Mexico. He has spent thousands of hours facilitating training sessions in topics ranging from psychodynamics to advanced project management. He has spoken at regional, national, and international conferences on assistive listening systems.

Course Title: How to Add Assistive Listening Systems to Interior Spaces

Course Description: This two-hour course explores how to add assistive listening systems to interior spaces. Learners will review types of hearing loss, learn about common types of and applications for assistive listening systems, and learn how to incorporate assistive listening systems into designs while complying with building codes and standards.

Learners will be able to identify types of hearing loss and describe typical applications for assistive listening systems.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to describe the different types of assistive listening systems and determine when to specify a permanent vs. portable system when designing an interior space.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to comply with applicable building codes and standards when adding assistive listening systems to interior spaces.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to examine, evaluate and discuss case studies of installed assistive listening systems.
