Webinar Instructions
Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.0 PDHs for professional engineers, 6.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects, and 6.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in all states that allow this learning method. Katherine Holmok

Katherine G. Holmok is Director of Green & Blue Infrastructure at Environmental Design Group, where much of her experience has centered on stormwater control, weather resiliency, and pedestrian experiences in challenging urban sites. As a Landscape Architect, Katherine has been designing green & blue elements for over 26 years. Notable projects include design and oversite of ultra-urban green infrastructure elements integrated within the two-mile, six-lane expansion of the City of Philadelphia’s I-95 (Girard) project; Akron’s Citywide Green Infrastructure Toolbox, including design of green and complete Aqueduct Street, and the Kelly (CSO Rack 3) Green Project; one-mile long City of Cleveland’s $9 million dollar Fleet Avenue Complete and Green Street; Cuyahoga River Bank stabilization projects for the National Park Service; and numerous green infrastructure retrofit demonstration projects in the City of Cleveland.

Course Title: Green Stormwater Infrastructure

Course Description: This course explains what green stormwater infrastructure is, the science behind it, and why it’s necessary. Then, the course analyzes specific small, medium and large scale infrastructure. Lastly, the course provides guidance on planning for GSI, quantifying the benefits, and equity considerations.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to explain what green stormwater infrastructure is, the history of GSI, the hydrologic cycle and watershed hydrology.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to identify problems and solutions related to urban stormwater and water quality such as stormwater pollution, runoff prevention, and quantification tools.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to utilize small and medium scale GSI, including bioretention, de-paving and reforestation, green and blue roofs, and cisterns and rain barrels.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to explore large scale GSI such as permeable pavements, wetlands and detention, and floodplain and stream restoration.
