This webinar offers 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education
hours to architects in all states. It offers 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to landscape

Donald D. Carpenter, PhD, PE, LEED APVice President of Drummond Carpenter, PLLC and a Professor of Practice at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield MI
Dr. Carpenter is an accredited green design professional (LEED AP) and practicing professional engineer (PE) whose expertise includes green stormwater infrastructure (GSI), stormwater management, hydrologic modeling and design, and field data collection. He has 25 years’ experience working with diverse clients across the United States as a researcher and practicing professional. As a National Charrette Institute certified community engagement specialist, he has extensive experience in community engagement and planning. Dr. Carpenter’s efforts have facilitated community implementation of stormwater master plans and the development of community socio-economic sustainability plans. As founding Director of the Great Lakes Stormwater Management Institute at Lawrence Technological University, he conducts research on innovative infiltration-based stormwater practices and advises communities on how to implement GSI. Finally, he is an active board member on several educational and non-profit boards and serves on the Board of External Reviewers to advise State of Washington Department of Ecology on stormwater treatment technologies.
Scott Gorneau, P.E.Vice President, Convergent Water Technologies
As vice president of Convergent Water Technologies, Mr. Gorneau is responsible for offering innovative green infrastructure/low impact stormwater solutions that enable new applications and raise the bar on performance, cost effectiveness, and verification. Mr. Gorneau previously served as national manager of ACF Environmental/Ferguson Waterworks and as regional vice president for FABCO Industries where he was responsible for engineering design, specification, and installation of manufactured stormwater management systems. He earned a B.S. degree in Biological Systems Engineering and an MS degree in Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln which provided the necessary knowledge for him to launch his career into the technical sales and specified engineered products industry. He spent the subsequent time since graduation gaining experience and expanding his knowledge of the industry on a wide variety of civil and environmental engineering design projects for private and public sector clients. Mr. Gorneau is a registered professional engineer in Maine and New Hampshire, and he is a Maine certified stormwater inspector. He has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), serving as section president in 2014.
Rob Woodman, P.E.National Urban Green Infrastructure Manager – Ferguson Waterworks
Mr. Woodman graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He spent the first 10 years as design and project engineer for a private engineering consulting firm, gaining experience and expanding his knowledge of the industry on a wide variety of civil and stormwater engineering design projects for private and public sector clients throughout New England. In 2014 Mr. Woodman took an opportunity to leverage his expertise in innovative stormwater and green infrastructure treatment systems and transitioned from consulting to the product, solution and innovation side of the industry. Mr. Woodman now serves Ferguson Enterprises as the director of Engineering and Green Stormwater Infrastructure and supports engineers, landscape architects and designers on site development and green infrastructure systems overcoming design and permitting challenges with a suite of innovative solutions. He is a registered professional engineer in Maine and Pennsylvania, a certified professional in erosion and sedimentation control, NGICP certified, a LEED green associate, Maine DEP certified stormwater inspector, ASCE member, and entrepreneur. Mr. Woodman lives in Gorham, Maine, with his wife, Jessi and four children.

Course Description: This course examines federal and state stormwater management requirements and benefits stormwater infiltration, hydrologic principles, , creating and using infiltration surfaces, protecting infiltration systems during and after construction, and achieving infiltration goals with low impact development techniques.
