Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Course Description: This six-hour presentation demonstrates how to design a smart home and how, with proper design, the smart home can improve the health, safety and well-being of occupants, starting at its architecture and design for well-being (wellness). The course examines each specific component of a smart home: wiring, infrastructure, lighting systems (natural and artificial), HVAC, windows, security systems, AV systems, acoustics, energy systems (solar and battery) and networking.

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to identify the features and components of a smart home, how they work together, and how proper smart home design improves the health, safety and well-being of the occupants.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to utilize natural light in their smart home design to provide heat to the home and health benefits to the occupants.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to incorporate security systems such as cameras, sensors, entry controls, monitoring and alerts into their smart home designs which keep occupants safe and secure.

Learners will be able to improve the acoustic environment for occupants and integrate wellness-focused designs including the use of color schemes and greenery which promote occupant well-being.
