All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Course Description: This course examines the IBC ASCE-7 provisions for load combinations, the American Wood Council’s National Design Specification for Wood Construction and the AISC and AISI Code applicability for steel frame buildings It also examines material selections and design considerations.

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with the American Wood Council’s National Design Specification for Wood Construction and the wood framing provisions of the International Building Code ASCE-7 for load combinations for conventional wood framing that will withstand loads and protect occupants.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to assist on project conception and material choices for wood framing of homes and small commercial buildings that meet building code standards.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to determine the applicability of AISC and AISI code requirements for steel frame residential and small commercial buildings.
