Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Mr. Huard received a mechanical engineering degree from Niagara College and bachelor and master of architecture and master of Urban Planning degrees from SUNY at Buffalo. He holds multiple professional accreditations including LEED AP O+M as well as LEED AP BD+C from Green Business Certification Inc. He was elevated to LEED Fellow in 2017 and additionally is a WELL Faculty member. Mr. Huard’s professional expertise has contributed to numerous domestic and international high-performance building, sustainable and restorative development projects as well as international events including Greenbuild, WaterBuild, Global Health & Wellness Summit, Living Future unConference, WaterSmart Innovations, Advanced Energy Conference, Energy Management Congress, CAPAC and G2E to name a few. Course Description: This course takes a deep dive into foam insulation, including types and applications, basic foam chemistry and physics, rigid and spray foam, lifecycle analysis, and sustainability.

Learners will be able to discuss and reference the chemistry and physics of how various types of foam insulation work.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to discuss and reference types of rigid foam and describe applications for expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), and polyisocyanurate foam (ISO).

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to discuss and reference applications for closed cell and open cell spray foam insulation and describe the impact on the energy efficiency of a space.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to analyze and explain the cost, lifecycle and sustainability of foam insulation.
