Before undertaking any self-study effort, you should review the rules of your licensing/certifying entity.
You must take and pass a quiz in order to receive credit. You can take the quiz as many times as needed and there is no time limit on the quiz. Once the quiz is completed, you will be asked to download your certificate.
Videos that qualify for AIA, LACES, ASLA, or CLARB credit will require an extra week for processing.

Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Eric Oliver founded Earthwide, LLC, in 2019 to provide energy and sustainability master planning, CO2 reduction action plans, and energy and sustainability consulting services.
A passionate energy conservationist with over 30 years of energy and sustainability management, he has specialized in energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable design, energy audits and retro-commissioning, and facility assessments, for buildings in the commercial, educational, and government sectors.
In 1998, Mr. Oliver founded EMO Energy Solutions, LLC – one of the fastest growing energy conservation and sustainability companies in the DC area in the 2000s – and served as its president until 2017. As president, Mr. Oliver:
• Led EMO Energy to Inc. 5000 fastest growing company status in 2009.
• Was awarded “EcoCEO of the Year” by Smart CEO magazine in 2008
• Led over 800 energy audits, covering over 120 million ft2 of building space

Mr. Oliver has managed hundreds of domestic and international projects, conducted training seminars, and developed comprehensive energy awareness and education campaigns. Has published articles in multiple journals and magazines and has been a presenter and moderator at dozens of energy conferences.
He is currently president-elect for the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), has served in leadership roles for theUS Green Building Council, and Virginia Sustainable Building Network (VSBN), and was recently elected to the AEE Energy Managers Hall of Fame.

Course Description: This course examines 2021 International Energy Conservation Code provisions for commercial buildings, building envelopes, and building mechanical systems. It also covers changes in the 2021 IECC and code compliance pathways.

Learners will be able to reference and comply with general requirements and the compliance pathways of the 2021 IECC’s commercial provisions.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with 2021 IECC requirements for weather-resistive building envelope barriers, vapor barriers, air barriers and thermal boundaries, insulation thickness, fenestration, doors and entrances, and basement/slab insulation.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with 2021 IECC provisions for HVAC systems, service water heating, and power and lighting.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with 2021 IECC requirements for additions, alterations and repairs to existing buildings, including historic buildings.
