All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar offers 6.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 6.0 HSW continuing
education hours to architects licensed in all states.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in

Speakers

Jared Agee, MCP CBO

Division Director of Building and Code Enforcement for St. Charles County, Missouri

Mr. Agee is the director of Building and Code Enforcement for St. Charles County, Missouri. Previously, he worked in urban and suburban municipal governments managing building code enforcement, facilities, and information technology. Prior to his public sector positions, Mr. Agee worked in the construction industry in design and project management.

He has an undergraduate degree in Architectural and Mechanical Design and a graduate degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis. As a Master Code Professional, Mr. Agee is one of approximately 800 people to obtain the highest level of certification from the International Code Council. He currently holds a total of 28 certifications in building, energy, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and accessibility areas.

Mr. Agee is a former president of the Missouri Association of Building Officials and Inspectors (MABOI). In addition, he founded Regimen Consulting LLC, which provides code training and technology consultation to various organizations across the country.

Course Title: 2021 International Property Maintenance Code

Course Description: This course examines the 2021 edition of the International Property Maintenance Code and how its provisions are targeted to provide for the health, safety and welfare of users of residential and non-residential buildings, including sanitation, control of insects and rodents, garbage, egress, ventilation, heat, and use of combustible products.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss compliance standards of the IPMC regarding safety and sanitation, structural integrity, and weather resistance.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IPMC provisions for safe and adequate lighting, appropriate ventilation systems and occupancy limits.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IPMC provisions for plumbing, including water supply and heating, sewage disposal and plumbing fixtures.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IPMC provisions for maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, including heating and air conditioning and electrical equipment.

Learning Objective 5:
Learners will be able to reference and discuss IPMC provisions for fire safety, means of egress and fire protection systems.
