Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information
These webinars are open to the public. They each offer landscape architects, in most states, 3.0 HSW continuing education hours, for a total of 6.0 HSW hours. The Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System has approved each webinar for 3.0 HSW PDHs. HalfMoon Education is deemed an approved continuing education provider in the State of New York. The North Carolina board of Landscape Architects has approved each webinar for 3.0 Continuing Education Hours. These webinars are not approved in New Jersey, or Florida.
Each webinar includes a 30-minute break.
Participation and knowledge retention will be verified for these webinar events. Certificates of completion will be provided upon successful completion of the quiz at the end of each webinar, and earned LUs will be reported to the LA CES.
Ms. Kuebler is a graduate of Cornell University’s Landscape Architecture program and has focused her work on the human experience in the landscape, integrating the outdoors and architecture to create unique and inspiring environments. She formed Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect, PC, (JKLA) in 2003 to have a positive impact on the quality of life for people through sensitive and responsible design. JKLA is an award-winning, industry leader in green infrastructure and stormwater management design. In 2010 Ms. Kuebler teamed with Landscape Structures, Inc, to participate in the pilot program for the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES); a land based sustainable practice rating system, documenting a sustainable learning garden at Buffalo Public School #81. She has been the keynote speaker for the Erie County Stormwater Coalition’s bi-annual meeting as well as a presenter for the National Recreation and Parks Association’s annual meeting discussing green infrastructure and playgrounds. She also plays a vital role in her community and profession serving as the New York Upstate Chapter president of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) from 2013-2015, as well as serving on the WNY 2014 Conference Program Committee for the Congress for New Urbanism. Ms. Kuebler is a previous member of the Botanical Gardens Board of Directors, a Buffalo Green Code advisor for various working groups and a member of The Women’s Group of Buffalo.
Associate Professor in the Landscape Architecture Department at Iowa State University
Professor Yost teaches graduate and undergraduate collaborative and interdisciplinary studios; a social and behavioral landscapes seminar (environmental psychology); an advanced graphics and representation course; portfolio design; graduate-level introduction to research methods for landscape architects; Design Core Studio for 1st year students in our College of Design; an optional upper-level studio titled, “Poetry of Place, Earthworks, & Revelations,” and a capstone community-based studio focused on stormwater, green infrastructure & schoolyard design called “Mount Airy Schoolyards” in northwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Professor Yost received her two master degrees in Landscape Architecture and Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelors of arts degree in General Arts & Sciences from Pennsylvania State University. In addition, she is currently completing her PhD degree (ABD status) on Denver Public School Learning Landscapes schoolyards. Prior to pursuing her graduate degrees, Professor Yost was a program manager and environmental educator for five years for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Virginia where she designed and led watershed and wetlands programs.
