This seminar is open to the public and offers 6.5 HSW continuing education hours (TX CEPHs) to architects and 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in all states. Educators and courses are not pre-approved in Texas.
The American Institute of Architects has approved this event for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885).

Speakers
Brian Gardiner
Principal, BMG Enterprises, LLCMr. Gardiner has provided roof consulting services for commercial, industrial, and governmental clients including architects, building owners, engineers, and contractors. He has over 30 years’ experience providing roof management programs, systems analysis, design, specifications, quality control monitoring, failure analysis, and project management. He has presented seminars on a variety of building envelope topics for various organizations, including: Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, Midwest Roofing Contractors Association, National Roofing Contractors Association, University of Texas and the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Gardiner is a past region director of RCI, Inc.; a three-time president of the Austin Chapterof the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI); and a Past Vice-Chairman of the ASTM E06-71 Green Roof Subcommittee.
Eleanor McKinney, ASLA
Eleanor H. McKinney Landscape Architect, Inc.Eleanor H. McKinney Landscape Architect, Inc. (EMLA) is an incorporated landscape architectural firm specializing in sustainable development. Beginning in 1989, Ms. McKinney provided landscape programming, planning, design, construction document, and construction administration services to other landscape and architectural firms in Texas. In 1995, she started her own landscape architectural studio with an emphasis on thorough site analysis, quality hardscape design, and use of native plant materials. Experience has ranged from large scale master planning to intimate courtyard designs. For over 18 years, the studio has provided a unique perspective on landscapes that reflect a regional Texas flavor. In 2008 Ms. McKinney received the Green Roof Award of Excellence in the Intensive Institutional Category for the Austin City Hall. Since then she has worked on seven green roofs in Central Texas. Ms. McKinney has lectured on green roofs for Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and has also appeared as a speaker at the Texas chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Conference. She earned her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Texas A&M University in College Station.
