Speakers
Greg Buccola
KPFFEngineer and Manager at KPFFMr. Buccola is a professional structural engineer with more than 14 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he manages the Louisville office of KPFF—part of a nationwide firm with over 1,100 employees and 20 offices across the country. Mr. Buccola is a transplant from Los Angeles where he started his career with KPFF and simultaneously taught undergraduate structural engineering courses at Cal Poly Pomona. He spent the last seven years in Louisville overseeing design teams on a host of projects throughout the U.S. He recently left a Louisville-based A/E firm where he was vice president, to open and manage the KPFF Louisville office in 2017 where they are now 16 people-strong. They specialize in the rehabilitation of existing buildings, and in the construction of medical office buildings, industrial facilities, design-build projects, and housing/hospitality projects. He is a licensed professional engineer in 36 states.
In his spare time, Mr. Buccola enjoys travelling with his wife Valerie, who is responsible for introducing him to the second love of his life: her home state of Kentucky. Weekends are spent together with their four kids, discovering all that Louisville has to offer. Mr. Buccola is also a cancer survivor, a foster parent, and a Louisville Business Journal “2012 Forty Under 40” honoree.
