Continuing Education Credit Information
This seminar is open to the public and offers up to 6.5 HSW continuing education hours (CPC) to architects and landscape architects and 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in Maryland. HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for Maryland engineers, and this is a Category A event.
This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Activities approved by the AIA qualify for Maryland, New Jersey and DC architects.
This course offers Maryland landscape architects 6.5 CPC hours.The Landscape Architect Continuing Education System (ASLA) has approved this program for 6.5 HSW PDHs. At this time, Maryland is not preapproving educators or courses. The Maryland Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects is indicating courses approved by national landscape architect organizations will be accepted for credit.
This course is designed for construction contractors but has not been submitted for contractor continuing education credit in any state.
Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.
Speakers
Boyd Church
Compliance Services LLCPresident, Compliance Services LLCCompliance Services LLC was founded in 2014 to provide stormwater and environmental program assistance and development for municipal and commercial clients. Mr. Church specializes in serving MS4s and other stormwater-related programs through assessments, education, training and inspections. He previously worked as a stormwater engineer in Loudoun County, Virginia, where he developed innovative best management practices for advanced phosphorous removal. He was also previously the chief of the Stormwater Facility Maintenance Program in Montgomery County, Maryland, where he was instrumental in implementing the water quality protection charge. Mr. Church earned his B.S. degree from West Virginia University and his M.S. degree in Environmental Biology from Hood College. He holds certifications from the Center for Watershed Protection and Chesapeake Stormwater Network as a master stormwater practitioner, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality as a certified stormwater inspector, and the North Carolina State University Cooperative Extension Service as a stormwater BMP inspection and maintenance professional.
