Course Title: Practical Site Engineering: Science and Techniques
Delivery Method: Live
Course Description: This 7.0 hour live lecture presentation examines the multiple purposes of site engineering, watershed, topography and the impact of soils and landforms, site plans, site grading, stormwater management and erosion control, earthwork safety, and site program management.
Learning Objectives:
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to consider the site watershed, topography, soil conditions, and landforms when evaluating potential development efforts.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to identify the contents of site plans and explain why site investigations and surface and groundwater must be considered when drawing up plans.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to describe site grading techniques to accompany retaining walls, roads, sidewalks, paths, stairs and ramps, and to provide proper drainage.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to reference national, state, and local regulations for stormwater management requirements and be able to describe common best management practices.
