Continuing Education Credit Information
This seminar is open to the public. It offers up to 6.5 HSW continuing education hours to architects and 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers in most states. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Pennsylvania.
This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Provider No. J885), the Building Performance Institute for 1.86 CEUs, and the International Code Council for 6.5 Contact Hours (.65 CEUs) in the specialty area of Energy.
Architects and engineers seeking continuing education credit outside Pennsylvania will be able to claim the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility. Maximum continuing education hours available to New York licensees are 5.5.
This seminar offers a non-mandatory continuing education opportunity for construction contractors. It has not been reviewed by any state contractor licensing entity with a continuing education requirement.
Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed within 15 business days.

Rhett Major
DIAGNOSTIC ENERGY AUDITORS OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIAFor more than 25 years, Mr. Major, doing business as “The Energy Doctor,” has been helping people in Western Pennsylvania save energy and be more comfortable in their homes and businesses. He received his bachelor’s degree in general studies (Business and Communications) in 1988 from Louisiana State University. Mr. Major has served as an energy auditor, installer, crew chief, field supervisor, and weatherization director of both utility and Weatherization Assistance Programs. He currently works as a teacher, auditor, mentor and training coordinator for Diagnostic Energy Auditors – Western Pennsylvania (DEAWP), while maintaining a small home performance business in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Mr. Major is a Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Certified Home Energy Rater and a United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED for Homes Green Rater. He is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Building Analyst Professional, a BPI Envelope Professional, a BPI Multifamily Building Analyst Professional and a Level 1 Residential Energy Audit thermographer.
