For AIA requirements only, the on-demand recording will have occasional question prompts that will not allow the video to progress unless they are answered, and you will not be able to skip forward while watching the video.
Please note, if you attempt to resume watching the video on a separate device, your progress will not be saved.

This seminar is open to the public and offers up to 6.5 HSW continuing education hours to Washington architects and landscape architects. It also offers 6.5 hours continuing education opportunity to Washington professional engineers (not required for license renewal). Courses and course providers are not preapproved in Washington.
This seminar approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885) and the Landscape Architect Continuing Education System for 6.5 HSW PDHs.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Jim Safranek
Safranek Group LLCSafranek Group LLC, International Code Council Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner Registered Architect-States of Washington and TennesseeMr. Safranek is a registered architect and the principal of the Safranek Group LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in building code and accessibility consulting. The scope of the Safranek Group’s accessibility consulting includes the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA), and building codes, such as the International Building Code (IBC) and the California Building Code (CBC).
As an accessibility and building code expert, Mr. Safranek brings to projects over 28 years of practical experience as an architect. Throughout his career, he has focused on technical issues, primarily accessibility and building codes while also attaining a number of professional certifications in these two areas. Mr. Safranek has provided accessibility and building code consulting services nationally, including drawing reviews and surveys of properties for compliance with the accessibility requirements found in the ADA, FHA, and building codes.
Prior to founding the Safranek Group, Mr. Safranek was a senior accessibility consultant for Endelman and Associates of Seattle, Washington where during his 4 year tenure with the firm, he consulted on and surveyed over a hundred projects in 17 states for a variety of clients, including national residential developers, architects, public sector entities, and business owners.
