Charlie Trujillo

Marketing Manager at CMT Engineering LaboratoriesMr. Trujillo joined CMT in 2013 as the marketing manager. Mr. Trujillo oversees the marketing for special inspection and materials testing services as well as the geotechnical engineering for the entire organization. He brings over 32 years of experience in the testing industry all of which have been in the intermountain front. He has provided the administration and quality control management for both field and laboratory operations on many projects including medium and high-rise structures as well as civil roadway and rail projects. His involvement with UTA’s Light Rail went from the corridor and all the way to the University Hospital. He also worked and managed many high-rise projects that make up the Salt Lake skyline today. Mr. Trujillo has overseen many contracts at the Salt Lake International Airport for both geotechnical and material testing, and he has maintained a multi-year steel testing and inspection contract and two years of an on-call materials testing and special inspection contract. Mr. Trujillo is involved with well over $1 billion in construction each year. He provided quality control oversight on all of the IHC Hospitals and most clinics built in Utah since 2004. In addition, he was part of the team that provided the testing and inspection services for the Utah Data Center project in Lehi, Utah. This massive NSA Data Center was well over $1.6 billion in construction. Prior to joining CMT, Mr. Trujillo was general manager/principal for Consolidated Engineering Laboratories.
