Description

Stormwater Solutions: Basins and Underground Systems

Featuring Brad Flack, CPESC, CESSWI, CESCL, QSM, QCIS, QPSWPPP, QISM, QSP, QSD

Don’t let an under designed basin turn into a flooded site, a failed inspection, or a liability claim with your name on it.

  • A field-tested framework for choosing between detention, retention, infiltration, and underground storage before the first shovel hits dirt
  • A straight answer on the regulations that in fact apply, from the Clean Water Act down to your state’s stormwater rules
  • The preferred criteria that keep a storage system working for decades, not just through the next inspection
  • How to naturalize, retrofit, and reuse water in ways that satisfy regulators, protect the community, and hold up under real storms

Imagine:

A detention basin overtops in a storm it was designed to handle.

An underground system clogs because nobody planned for maintenance access.

A community fights a proposed basin because nobody thought about how it would look, or function, once the crews leave.

Every stormwater system makes a promise: manage the water, protect the site, and hold up over time.

Most broken promises trace back to one choice, the wrong storage system for the wrong site.

So if you’re not sure how to choose between detention, retention, and infiltration basins or an underground system, don’t know which regulations apply to your project, or aren’t sure how to design a system that stays functional, and defensible, for the long haul, this training is for you.

Join Brad Flack as he shares the field-tested systems, sizing, and design standards you need to know to choose, design, and defend the right stormwater storage system…

…PLUS gives you practical strategies for naturalizing basins, retrofitting existing systems, and building in sustainability without sacrificing performance.

Drawing on over two decades in stormwater quality management and his work training compliance professionals nationwide, this training will help professional engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects, floodplain managers, municipal professionals, and other site development professionals design stormwater basins and underground systems that meet regulatory requirements and perform.

Don’t let an under designed basin turn into a flooded site, a failed inspection, or a liability claim with your name on it.
