Pennsylvania Subdivision and Platting Law: Approvals, Surveys, Easements and Problem Plats
Description
A subdivision plat has to satisfy state law, the local SALDO, the municipal reviewer, and the recorder of deeds. Miss one requirement and the project waits.
And small plat errors rarely stay small.
A missing monument, an unreconciled deed call, an easement left off the map, or a missing certification can lead to rejection, conditional approval, or boundary and title problems long after recording.
Whether you prepare plats, review subdivision plans for a municipality, resolve boundary issues, or advise clients on land development, this program will help you spot problems before they become approval or recording problems.
Join Pennsylvania surveyor and plan reviewer Donald R. Housley Sr., P.L.S. for a full day of practical guidance on getting plats approved, recorded, and corrected when problems arise.
You’ll leave this training ready to:
- Identify subdivision issues before an application is submitted
- Reconcile field measurements with deeds, records, and existing plats
- Properly depict easements, utilities, floodplains, and public and private spaces
- Select the right remedy for a problem plat
A recorded plat is a permanent record.
Get it right before it reaches the recorder’s office.
