Founder and President of Glabe Consulting Services, Inc.Mr. Glabe is President of Glabe Consulting Services, Inc., a company he founded in 1985 as an engineering firm that provided engineering design and analysis for the temporary structure industry. The firm has evolved into a broader company providing expertise for contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers. These services included product testing and evaluation, product design, specific project solutions, training, and expert witness services. In 2011 the company DH Glabe & Associates was established to provide the engineering services formerly provided by Glabe Consulting Services, Inc. He was the founding partner of the company. Glabe Consulting Services, Inc., continues to provide litigation support. Utilizing the experience he received from the many projects and different facets of construction with which he has been involved, Mr. Glabe developed an interest in construction training. He began by providing scaffold training for the construction industry. Mr. Glabe co-developed a scaffold training seminar held at Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana, and developed and instructed the Train the Trainer Scaffold Course at two certified OSHA Training Institutes. Additionally, he was an instructor for Federal OSHA and CalOSHA and has developed and conducted numerous additional training and skill evaluation programs for the industry. Mr. Glabe also taught the official OSHA course in excavation and soil mechanics in addition to the official OSHA course in fall protection. He also provided training in concrete shoring and forming. In addition to consulting engineer Mr. Glabe also serves as an expert witness in construction related matters, specifically in the areas of trenching/excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, shoring/forming, and access. He attended Valparaiso University in Indiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Glabe is a Licensed Professional Engineer in numerous states and a Structural Engineer in Utah. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers [ASCE] committee: “Design Loads During Construction,” and is actively involved in the Scaffold & Access Industry Association [SAIA]. Mr. Glabe is a member of the American National Standards Institute [ANSI] A10.8 – Scaffold Committee.
