All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 continuing education hours for licensed architects in most states that allow this learning method. DG Frondorf and Associates LLC, Cincinnati

Mr. Frondorf owns and operates Cincinnati-based DG Frondorf and Associates LLC, a construction cost estimating consulting firm. He is a member of Consulting Estimator’s Round Table (CERT), AACE, and the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE). He has 25 years of service as a construction estimator, and has presented several seminars on estimating practices and ethical bidding topics to trade associations and at industry events. Mr. Frondorf is also a past instructor of construction estimating at the University of Cincinnati and has guest lectured there and at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. He has also written several articles on estimating related topics in Estimating Today and Design Cost Data magazines.

Course Title:  Engineering and Construction Project Management

Course Description: This 6.5-hour course explores the principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, from early procurement and budget development through design management, scheduling, cost control, and project closeout. Instruction addresses project delivery systems, work breakdown structures, resource management, safety procedures, and the turnover of completed projects including testing, inspections, and personnel training.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to explain how well-structured contracts and project management practices reduce the risk of construction defects and failures that endanger building occupants.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to develop early estimates, project budgets, and work plans that support accurate cost control and reduce the financial pressures that can lead to the use of inadequate materials or unsafe construction practices.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to apply scheduling, scope management, and resource management techniques that keep projects on track and reduce the likelihood of shortcuts that compromise construction quality and public safety.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to implement project closeout procedures, including system testing, final inspections, and documentation turnover, that verify buildings are safe, functional, and ready for occupancy before they are turned over to owners and users.
