Description
A hundred-year-old oak sits one grading permit away from a slow death. A developer prices a lot without ever pricing the shade tree on it. A city plants young trees along a new sidewalk with no plan for what their roots will do in twenty years.
Trees get treated like landscaping, when they function like infrastructure.
And most of the damage happens long before anyone with tree expertise is in the room.
So if you have ever watched a construction crew trench through a critical root zone, struggled to put a number on what a mature canopy is actually worth, or wondered what is really happening underground when a tree starts to decline, this training is for you.
Join Logan House, BCMA, TRAQ, as he lays out the science, the value, and the impact case for trees, all in one place, so you can make the call with confidence…
…PLUS the biology fundamentals you need to catch trouble while a tree can still be saved.
Covering the social, economic, and ecological benefits trees deliver alongside the biology that keeps them alive, this training will help arborists, landscape architects, urban planners, and other green industry professionals make the case for trees and protect the value that’s already growing in the ground.
Don’t let one uninformed decision cost your community its oldest, most valuable tree.
- The real social, economic, and ecological value a mature tree adds to a property and a community
- The tree biology behind every healthy canopy, from root systems to trunk to crown
- How growth cycles and environmental needs decide whether a tree thrives or slowly declines
- The construction and urban development practices that damage tree health long before anyone notices
