CEO & Managing Partner, Copeland Engineering, LLC, B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin
Mr. Copeland received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. Mr. Copeland has been involved in more than 250,000 residential projects and is the CEO and Managing Partner of Copeland Engineering, LLC. During his 20 years in the engineering field, he has worked for large national volume builders, small builders, remodeling contractors, developers and high end custom builders. Through this process he has become an expert in homeowner and residential structural behavior on expansive clays in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Waco / Temple / Killeen and the San Antonio areas. Working with such volume he also became an expert at the repair process for foundations and has been through the builder warranty, insurance warranty, mediation and arbitration processes. There is no doubt that the industry of foundation design on expansive clay comes with risk and Mr. Copeland has experienced and come out successful on many lawsuit claims, audits and even the engineering complaint process. Additionally, as the industry has grown Mr. Copeland has grown with it and is also an expert in wood framing design, main wind force resisting system design, components and cladding design and going even further to have successfully completed two audits from the State of Texas via the Texas Department of Insurance. Mr. Copeland is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, Texas Department of Insurance Windstorm Certified, American Concrete Institute and many other professional organizations.
