Mr. Wallen has represented many clients before the Patent and Trademark Office and the federal courts in various intellectual property areas, and he has served 12 years as a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Wallen is a licensed chemical engineer, distinguished fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and an adjunct professor of Chemical Engineering at Howard University. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Catholic University of America, and he completed a Masters of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Virginia. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Appalachian School of Law. Mr. Wallen has been admitted to the Virginia Bar, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is also a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
