Managing Principal of Integrated Project Solutions, LLC (IPS), OhioPS is a consulting company that specializes in many aspects of design, building and construction. Much of that specialization pertains to Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). BIM and VDC are both up and coming fields in the building and construction industry and IPS is regarded as a leader in that field. Mr. Furlong’s introduction into the world of BIM came rather easy and stems from the fact that he has been designing in 3D for more than two decades using various programs. He has been responsible for coordinating more than $650M in construction dollars across the nation. The projects he has been involved with have been of varied type and use. From health care facilities to higher education to mixed use buildings, as well as museums, Mr. Furlong has experience in all areas and building types. He carries the CM-BIM (Certificate of Management – Building Information Modeling) designation, an accreditation awarded by the AGC after completion of the required coursework and passing a national exam. Mr. Furlong is also involved in the instructional training of the CM-BIM courses as an approved instructor. He has previously been an Applications Engineer with Autodesk and is certified to train and support various Autodesk products. Mr. Furlong is a BIM advocate and actively participates on the AGC Committee to revise the ConsensusDocs BIM documents. He has taken his knowledge and experience of construction and coupled that with his ability to use 3D software. As a byproduct of that, he has the ability to create a virtual environment from which to study building design and the interaction between the various system components that will be installed within that building.

Water Compliance Engineer, The Ohio State UniversityMr. Halloran has worked for over 30 years in the field of stormwater, potable water, wastewater engineering design and construction. He has also worked as a design and construction engineer in the areas of municipal, industrial, and airport drainage among other areas. He serves as The Ohio State University’s water compliance engineer and has served as an adjunct faculty professor in the Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering Department (https://ceg.osu.edu/). He is also the faculty advisor for two student organizations. In the past, Mr. Halloran served as the town engineer for several communities and has promoted the concepts of sustainability throughout his career. Throughout his career he has encouraged the use of natural systems, such as constructed wetlands, and the conversion of retention basins using native wetland plants to improve stormwater retention, increase pollutant removal, and provide pollinator and wetland habitat. He earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and a M.E. degree in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the States of Ohio and Idaho.

Architectural Engineering Access SpecialistMs. Warner holds a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering and is a Certified Access Specialist Professional by the state of California, as well as a National Accessibility Professional Certification for the Built Environment. She recently retired after over 30 years of service with the City of San Diego, including 25 years dedicated to accessible design. She brings extensive knowledge and understanding of accessibility laws, codes, and regulations. She collaborated with various city departments, including Park and Recreation Engineering and Capital projects, Transportation, and Mobility, overseeing the Citywide ADA compliance program, and managing transition plans.
Ms. Warner played a key role in the development of accessibility requirements for Park Design, Street Design, Complete Streets, and Curb Ramp Design Guidelines. Additionally, she integrated code changes and provided training to ensure compliance with accessibility regulations. President and Owner of Pave Drain, LLC, in Keystone, IAMr. Buch is a 30 year veteran of the construction industry. In 1992 the University of Iowa graduate began promoting geosynthetic and erosion control materials throughout the Midwest. Mr. Buch moved to Wisconsin in 1995 to head up the environmental specialty precast division of Modern Building Materials, Inc., based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin. His responsibilities included the start-up, promotion, manufacturing, and installation of articulating concrete block/mats (ACB/M’s) and precast stormwater treatment tanks throughout the Midwest. In February of 2000, Mr. Buch went to work for Armortec as its national sales manager. In the fall of 2006, he was recruited to vice president of Business Development for Submar, Inc., a position he undertook until he launched the PaveDrain System in the fall of 2009.
Scott Gorneau, P.E.
Vice President, Convergent Water Technologies, in Houston, TXMr. Gorneau is responsible for offering innovative green infrastructure/low impact stormwater solutions that enable new applications and raise the bar on performance, cost effectiveness, and verification. He previously served as national manager of ACF Environmental/Ferguson Waterworks and as regional vice president for FABCO Industries where he was responsible for engineering design, specification, and installation of manufactured stormwater management systems. Mr. Gorneau earned a BS degree in Biological Systems Engineering and an MS degree in Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln which provided the necessary knowledge for him to launch his career into the technical sales and specified engineered products industry. He spent the subsequent time since graduation gaining experience and expanding his knowledge of the industry on a wide variety of civil and environmental engineering design projects for private and public sector clients. Mr. Gorneau is a registered professional engineer in Maine and New Hampshire, and he is a Maine certified stormwater inspector. He has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), serving as section president in 2014.

Curran E. Mohney
Engineering Geology Program leader for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)Mr. Mohney is the Engineering Geology Program leader for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The Engineering Geology Program at ODOT encompasses site characterization, subsurface exploration, slopes and embankments, geologic hazards, groundwater, geotechnical instrumentation, and planning and research activities. In this role, he also oversees the Unstable Slopes (landslide/ rockfall) Program for ODOT. He is a registered geologist and a certified engineering geologist in Oregon with over 30 years of experience in Oregon and the western states. Mr. Mohney has been the Engineering Geology Program leader since 2004. Prior to this, he had been a staff and project-level geologist for consulting firms and the mining industry as well as for ODOT. During his professional career, Mr. Mohney has been involved in the investigation, design, and construction of a wide range of challenging earthwork projects including high fills on soft ground, side slope embankments, and cut slopes in mixed-face conditions. He has been retained as an expert engineer in over one hundred and fifty litigation matters on single and class-action legal cases by the U.S. government, law firms, and insurance carriers at the State and Federal levels, working with both plaintiff and defendant sides.
Mr. Hemmatyar’s understanding of core engineering and legal concepts has enabled him to effectively assist a wide range of clientele. He brings diversified experience in structural and civil engineering design, and in forensic engineering, investigation, and evaluation. Mr. Hemmatyar also conducts research, has assisted in the development of building codes and standards, and has supervised the construction of domestic and international projects. RE:source Design, LLCMr. Westbrook designed his own solar home in north Texas in 1996, which won the Energy Value Housing Award for Innovative Design. It still ranks as one of the most efficient homes in Texas. While serving as Sustainable Development Manager at Texas Instruments International Facilities, Mr. Westbrook was the LEED AP for the 1.1 million square foot Texas Instruments factory, which was the first LEED Gold semiconductor factory in the world. He led the effort to improve the energy and water efficiency of TI’s 20 million square feet of existing global facilities. They were able to double the company energy and water efficiency in less than 10 years. In 2012, Mr. Westbrook was named a Senior Fellow for the US State Department’s Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas program. He visited Honduras, Bolivia, Columbia, and Peru where he worked with governments, universities, and industry on efficiency and renewable energy. Mr. Westbrook received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1982.

Structural Engineer in Summerville, SCMr. Brislin has been a professional engineer for more than 21 years and he has designed many structures and performed many different types of analysis in that time. He has worked for a steel fabricator, an architectural/engineering firm and a seismic consultant, and he has been in private practice for over 13 years. Mr. Brislin earned his BSCE degree from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and his MSCE degree from the University of South Carolina. He has completed all his course work for his PhD degree but has not completed his dissertation. His graduate study work has been in mathematical elasticity. Mr. Brislin has worked on a wide variety of projects from arenas such as Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Edward Jones Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, to renovation and seismic retrofit of the South Carolina State House and the design of the Columbia South Carolina Museum of Art. He has done stress analysis on weapons systems for the Department of Defense and has consulted on cellular telephone concealment projects. Mr. Brislin’s company routinely performs modal analysis of structures to provide more accurate seismic loads and to reduce the cost of seismic requirements through more advanced analysis techniques. The company is knowledgeable concerning structural dynamics and can perform a full dynamic analysis for complicated structures, and ductility requirements in concrete and masonry as well as welded steel moment connection requirements on toughness of steel.
