Hydrologist at McCurry Hydrology LLCDr. Gordon McCurry has more than 35 years of experience in hydrology, including the investigation, analysis and modeling of aquifer systems, and assessments of hydrologic impacts. He has extensive training in the analysis and design of riverine systems from North America’s leading experts, including Robert Newbury, Dave Derrick, and Dave Rosgen. Mr. Kwiatkowski is responsible for developing watershed management plans, river and stream restoration projects, and sustainable stormwater systems. He has collected and analyzed data on more than 500 miles of open channel throughout North America, including geomorphic and vegetative process indicators, habitat evaluation, and sediment transport data. Certified Commercial, Hotel & Restaurant Water AuditorAfter 20 years in photography creating art, and selling and installing professional photography equipment, Mr. Williams decided to change careers and make the world a better place by becoming a LEED accredited professional through the US Green Building Council in 2006. LEED introduced him to water issues. Then there was drought. With a love of rivers and appreciation of water, he decided to focus on rainwater harvesting and water efficiency as Georgia entered its worst drought in its history from 2006 – 2009. In 2007, Mr. Williams started designing and installing rain harvesting systems. In 2008, he became an American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association accredited professional, ARCSA AP, and is currently a regional representative. In 2012, Mr. Williams began auditing commercial, institutional and multifamily buildings’ water use and providing solutions to reduce water use primarily through fixture upgrades. He spent the next several years auditing commercial, institutional and multifamily buildings as part of his job in sales and account management working for several different companies. In 2013, he landed the contract for fixture upgrades for the Bank of America Plaza’s LEED Silver Certification, reducing water by 57 percent, receiving all seven points and saving 2,669,360 gallons per year. The project won the USGBC’s Ebie award for water efficiency, the Atlanta Metro Chamber’s E3 award for water, the USGBC – GA Chrysalis award as well as the Atlanta Better Building Challenge award. In 2019, Mr. Williams started representing Sustainable Water’s WaterHub water recycling system that uses eco-engineering processes to clean wastewater for non-potable needs. Sustainable Water brought the WaterHub to Emory University, recycling more than 400,000 gallons daily. Currently, he is designing and installing rainwater systems in Georgia and helping others use water more efficiently through water audits, billing assessments and fixture recommendations. Mr. Williams is chair of the Ocmulgee Basin Advisory Committee of the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District and has been active since 2007. He still creates art though his photography.

President and Owner of Cadastral Consulting, LLCMs. Lathrop is licensed as a professional land surveyor in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, and as a professional planner in New Jersey. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and has been involved in surveying since 1974 in projects ranging from construction to boundary to environmental land use disputes. Ms. Lathrop is also a certified floodplain manager through the Association of State Flood Plain Managers (ASFPM) and a certified floodplain surveyor through the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors. A former adjunct instructor at Mercer County College in New Jersey, she has also taught as part of the team for the licensing exam review course at Drexel University in Pennsylvania. Ms. Lathrop has been teaching seminars for surveyors since 1986 and has been writing articles for surveyors since 1983. She is a contributing editor for The American Surveyor magazine, and she has four articles included in the American Bar Association’s text, Land Surveys: A Guide for Lawyers and Other Professionals. She and Stephen V. Estopinal, PLS, PE co–authored a book entitled Professional Surveyors and Real Property Descriptions: Composition, Construction, and Comprehension, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in 2011. She is also on the faculty of GeoLearn, a web-based educational provider. Previously, Mr. Flanik served as the Chief Building Official for Lake County, Ohio for 16 years. Prior to working as a code official, he owned and operated a design-build contracting company. Additionally, Mr. Flanik is a long time UA member of Pipe Fitters Local Union #120 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Flanik holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University, as well as a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Acquiring over 40 various certifications and licenses, he is also a ICC-Certified Master Code Professional (MCP), LEED Accredited Professional BD+C, and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Mr. Flanik also gives back to the community as a 20-year adjunct faculty instructor at Lakeland College in the Civil and Electrical Engineering Departments.
Mr. Flanik is the author of the 2021 International Mechanical Code Essentials book published by International Code Council, and he is a professional consultant for government agencies and private corporations throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Flanik develops curriculum and teaches for the International Code Council throughout the world.

Manuel “Manny” Nuño, P.E., CFM, LEED AP, CPESC
Civil Engineering Manager at Ware MalcombMr. Nuño is a civil engineering manager at the Denver office of Ware Malcomb. A 2008 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a specialty in structural and environmental engineering, he has established himself as a leader in the field of drainage and erosion and sediment control. In his 15-year career, Mr. Nuño has excelled in the design of land development projects including grading, utility design, stormwater management, and erosion control. Through his experiences as a consulting engineer, he has prepared civil construction plans for such clients as Marriott International, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Lennar Homes, Oakwood Homes, and Kiewit Infrastructure West. In the field, Mr. Nuño has provided stormwater inspection services for SDG&E, Caesars Entertainment Group, and public agencies such as the City of Carlsbad, California, and the Town of Elizabeth, Colorado. He has managed civil projects in 17 different states and prides himself on working with developers, architects, and contractors to bridge the gap between regulatory compliance and constructability in the field. Mr. Nuño is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and California; a Certified Floodplain Manager; a certified professional in erosion and sediment control, a Colorado LEED accredited professional, and a qualified SWPPP developer/practitioner.
