All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers, 6.5 continuing education hours for licensed architects, and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in all states that allow this learning method. Mr. Wassam is the Founder and Chief Drone Pilot of Aerial Ops Drone Services and a Part 107 FAA Certified Pilot with more than 25 years of experience in professional photography, video production, and visual documentation. He specializes in delivering accurate, mission-specific aerial data and high-impact imagery for commercial construction, infrastructure, quarry, and corporate projects. Mr. Wassam combines advanced UAS operations, including progress documentation, mapping, 2D orthomosaics, 3D modeling, and site analysis, with professional-grade software to produce actionable data—not just visuals. His approach is grounded in a strong understanding of jobsite workflows, safety considerations, and decision-making requirements for project managers and engineers. In addition to his drone expertise, Mr. Wassam brings a unique technical perspective from an extensive background as a decorative artist and specialty contractor, working closely with architects, designers, and top building contractors on residential and commercial projects. This hands-on construction experience allows him to communicate effectively with field teams and deliver aerial products that align with real-world construction needs. By integrating technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and visual clarity, he helps clients reduce risk, improve efficiency, and gain better insight into their projects through aerial intelligence.

Course Description: This courses examines unmanned aircraft system (UAS) usage in construction, applicable federal and state regulations, potential liability risks, construction site mapping, monitoring construction progress, safety and quality, and post-construction structural inspections.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to describe the applications of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones in construction, including site mapping, site reconnaissance, monitoring progress, and improve worker safety.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to reference federal and state regulation of drones, discuss FAA remote pilot certification procedures, potential risks associated with drone usage, and available commercial drone insurance.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to explain the benefits of using UAS technology to monitor the construction progress, maintain safe site conditions, and to ensure project quality standards.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to explain how drones can be used to conduct post-construction inspections in cases that present high-risks to inspection officials or design/construction personnel.
