Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

His 21 years of experience has been focused on natural stream stabilization, water resources engineering, stormwater management, municipal engineering and contract administration. This experience has facilitated a balanced viewpoint from perspectives obtained as a civil engineer, a municipal consultant and a developer’s representative. He enjoys learning sustainable and innovative design practices and applying those techniques in developing countries through his volunteer work with Engineering Ministries International and other faith-based mission efforts.

Course Title: Urban Stormwater System Design and Construction

Course Description: This 6.5 hour live presentation examines urban hydrology principles, the difference between separate and combined storm sewer systems, stormwater regulations and modeling, green stormwater infrastructure, separate storm sewer system design, and city-scale strategic stormwater planning.
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to discuss the principles of urban hydrology and differentiate separate stormwater systems and combined stormwater/wastewater sewer systems.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to locate and reference local municipal stormwater regulation and assist with stormwater modeling.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to participate in the design of a separate storm sewer system (MS4) by understanding drainage patterns, locating and spacing inlets and manholes, gutter designs, and material selection.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to describe green stormwater infrastructure practices, including site designs, stormwater basins, and stormwater infiltration.
