Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

He is an author, speaker, and trainer, on subjects including The Future of Urban Forestry, Deforestation By Design™, The New Construction Paradigm, and The Leadership Laws of Nature. His focus is on trees in urban and construction environments, soil deficiencies and the importance of soils for sustainable mature trees, increasing urban tree canopies by ensuring trees live to maturity, and unsustainable landscape designs. Course Description: This course examines the scientific, economic and aesthetic benefits of trees, the science of healthy and mature trees, trees are design elements, trees and site requirements, trees that outlive designs, and threats to trees.
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to describe the environmental, social, health, and economic benefits of trees.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to discuss the biology and anatomy of trees, including the interaction between soils, roots, oxygen, and stress.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to explain the concepts of trees as design elements and part of the infrastructure in the built environment.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to identify and describe threats to trees, including biotic and abiotic threats and neglect. Learners will be able to identify preventative measures to maintain healthy trees and increase longevity.
