All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Completion certificates will be awarded to participants who complete this event, respond

Building Inspector for SAFEbuilt, Inc.Mr. Iliff has been a certified building official for 10+ years serving communities in Texas, Illinois, and Missouri. He has taught classes on the residential, building, and property maintenance codes with a focus on preparing students for certification exams and effective administration. Mr. Iliff has 30+ years of experience as a city planner, floodplain manager, and code enforcement officer. He earned an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University.

Course Description: This course examines the 2018 International Building Code as adopted in Nebraska as the Nebraska Building Code (NBC). Topics include provisions for building classification, occupancy and safety, building components, specific materials and construction techniques, interior construction, and safety requirements during construction.
Learning Objectives:
Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to discuss 2018 IBC/NBC structure classifications and provisions for occupancy and special uses, fire resistance-rated construction, fire protection systems, and doors and windows.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to comply with 2018 IBC/NBC provisions for exterior walls, roof assemblies, structural design and soils and foundations.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to comply with 2018 IBC/NBC requirements for interior construction, including those for gypsum board and plaster, interior finishes, and interior environment.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to comply with 2018 IBC/NBC provisions for specific materials and construction techniques for concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, steel, glass and glazing, and they will be able to comply with safety requirements during construction.
