Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. Edward D. Confair PLA PE

Edward D. Conair, PLA, PE is the Senior Program Manager of Resiliency with Engineering & Land Planning Associates, Inc. (E&LP) with over fifteen (15) years of experience in landscape architecture, civil site engineering, and site planning. Mr. Confair has managed urban, civic, residential, and commercial projects from the initial research and design through construction. As a dual licensed professional, Mr. Confair contributes to the design and construction process through master plans, hand drawings, 3D modeling, rendered plans, and perspectives, all the way through construction documents and construction administration. Mr. Confair assures that an integrated approach is taken on all of his projects so that seamless designs can be delivered to clients. His dual professional licenses make him uniquely qualified to design multi-layered and faceted solutions to projects.

Kevin Dahms PE

Kevin Dahms, PE is a water resources engineer at Biohabitats. He has expertise in stormwater management, urban hydrology, and design and construction project management. His interests lie in designing and implementing sustainable water management strategies to mitigate flood risks, improve water quality, and introduce co-benefits associated with habitat. Mr. Dahms holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College, a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, and a Master of Environmental Science in water resources, urban ecology, and watershed science from Yale School of the Environment.

Brad Flack CPESC. CESSWI. QCIS

Brad Flack, CPESC, CESSWI, QCIS President & CEO of Integrity Stormwater
Mr. Flack has earned his designation, among select thousands in the world, as a certified professional in erosion and sediment control (CPESC) as well as his designation as a certified erosion, sediment and stormwater inspector (CESSWI) and a course instructor, lending his experience and training to his customers for all of their stormwater needs. Furthermore he is among the select few who are Qualified Compliance Inspectors of Stormwater (QCIS). He has served as the president and the administrative vice president of the South Central Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA). Mr. Flack was the Region 6 President for EnviroCert International and has served as the Region 7 representative for CPESC, Inc. He was technical vice-chair for the CPESC Council, and he is on the Education Committee: Stormwater Management Track for the International Erosion Control Association Region 1 which encompasses North America, South America and Europe, where he has served as chair. Mr. Flack was awarded Young Professional of the Year for 2014 by the IECA Region 1 and is also an IECA Mentor. He also served as a member of the Policies and Procedures Committee and the Certified Professional in Industrial Stormwater Management Committee for EnviroCert International. He is an EnviroMentor for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as well as a member of the TCEQ Houston Area Small Business Advisory Council. Mr. Flack has been involved with stormwater management since 2004, when he learned about permitting, turf establishment, erosion control and detention pond maintenance. He has since continued to learn and develop his stormwater knowledge and skills and is now a speaker at many conferences sharing his expertise across the US and internationally. He is married to his high school sweetheart and they have 3 boys. He works both locally and internationally on humanitarian projects and in missionary service. 

Dr. Dustin Partridge

Dr. Dustin Partridge is the Director of Conservation and Science at New York City Audubon, an adjunct professor at Columbia University, and the Managing Director of the Green Roof Researchers Alliance (the GRRA), a consortium of over 70 scientists and policy makers from 22 institutions. As director of the GRRA, Dr. Partridge guides the alliance in unbiased outreach, advocacy, and scientific understanding of green roofs in New York City. Dr. Partridge’s scientific research examines wildlife interactions with green infrastructure and the surrounding urban matrix, with a specific focus on green roofs. Dr. Stephen J. Souza

Owner of Clean Waters Consulting, LLC, New Jersey
Dr. Souza is the founding partner of Princeton Hydro, LLC. From its inception in 1998 through 2018, he served as president of Princeton Hydro, retiring from the company in 2019. Over the past 35 years he has dedicated his career to the management and restoration of aquatic ecosystems, in particular lakes, ponds and reservoirs. Dr. Souza received his B.S. degree in 1974 from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, his M.S. in 1976 from Rutgers University, and his Ph.D. in 1981 from the University of Connecticut. He has served over the past 25 years as an instructor and course coordinator for the Rutgers NJAES Office of Continuing Professional Education, developing and implementing multiple short courses focused on the management and restoration of aquatic ecosystems. Dr. Souza is also an adjunct professor at Temple University (Ambler Campus), teaching a graduate studies course in the Department of Landscape and Horticulture (Tyler School of Art and Agriculture). He also conducts a professional continuing education course focusing on green infrastructure stormwater management for CPES through Montclair State University.

Course Description: This six-hour course provides design professionals with valuable information that will assist them in managing stormwater through a variety of methods, including the reduction of site disturbance and the use of porous pavement, green roofs, rain barrels, cisterns, rain gardens, filter strips, drainage swales, detention basins and ponds.
