All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher. 

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 3.0 PDHs for professional engineers, 3.0 continuing education hours for licensed architects, and 3.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in most states that allow this learning method.

This course is not approved for New York architects and architects licensed by states that require HSW coursework; please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

With a focus on stormwater and operational programs related to construction and aggregate operations, Ms. Morris has honed her skills throughout her career. As the owner of Acorn EnviroComply LLC, she leads the way in providing exceptional stormwater management services. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a B.S. degree in Biology and an M.S. degree in Environmental Science, Ms. Morris embarked on her stormwater career journey. Starting as an intern, she progressed to roles as an inspector, manager, and specialist, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the process. Her dedication to professional development is evident in her work. Having provided training to hundreds of contractors and engineers in her previous positions, she is committed to sharing her knowledge and improving industry practices. Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Ms. Morris has collaborated extensively with various local cities, showcasing her expertise, and establishing strong partnerships. Her vast experience and comprehensive understanding of stormwater regulations and best practices makes her a trusted leader in the field.

Course Title: Qualified Stormwater Professional Criteria Across the U.S.

Delivery Method: Live Online 

Course Description: This three-hour course explores the qualifications and certifications required to become a Qualified Stormwater Professional (QSP) across a variety of states. The course compares state-by-state requirements, examines federal regulations under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and identifies related credentials in areas such as hydrology and soil science.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to describe the role of a Qualified Stormwater Professional and identify common responsibilities in construction and industrial stormwater compliance.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to compare QSP training and certification requirements across multiple states.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to identify and comply with relevant federal regulations, including NPDES requirements for construction and industrial sites.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to explore related professional programs and credentials that support stormwater management qualifications.
