All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar offers 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 7.0 continuing education hours to
architects in states that allow non-HSW coursework. It offers 7.0 HSW continuing education hours
to landscape architects in most states. HalfMoon Education is not seeking Florida, New Jersey or
North Carolina landscape architect approval.
HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida
(Provider No. 0004647), Indiana (License No. CE21700059), Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No.
24GP00000700), North Carolina (S-0130), and North Dakota. HalfMoon Education is deemed

Charles Sadler

King Garden Inc.

Founder and Owner at King Garden Inc.
For over two decades, Mr. Sadler has led the field in the integration of horticulturally and artistically informed care of landscapes. He has worked on over 600 landscapes from city gardens to suburban properties to estates of great historical significance and large in scale. This specialized work has resulted in Mr. Sadler being sought after for the development of maintenance plans and training at prestigious public and private properties across North America. A gifted collaborator, he has been consulted by top landscape practices domestically and abroad. 
Mr. Sadler began his career as a visual storyteller in the field of illustration, with a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, working on public and private commissions, including the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times. Seeking to express this artistry through natural forms, Mr. Sadler returned to school, SUNY-ESF on the campus of Syracuse University, to pursue master’s studies in Landscape Architecture; he started his own design firm in order to apply his philosophy of the integration of design and horticultural care. A certified arborist and master pruner, Mr. Sadler has contributed articles to several publications on the restoration of landscapes and travels extensively lecturing and providing training in aesthetic and horticultural pruning and care.  
Mr. Sadler is an American Society of Landscape Architects member, an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, and an Institute of Classical Art and Architecture contributing member.

Course Title: Pruniversity: Plant Health Through Pruning

Course Description: This seven-hour presentation examines on plant health, beauty and longevity can be increased by understanding plant physiology and the importance of proper pruning techniques and maintenance. This applies to the plants in the yard and those on a stand in the living room.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to describe how proper tree pruning increases tree value, life expectancy, and aesthetics.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to identify and select tree species that require less maintenance and pruning, provided that meets the owners needs.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to develop pruning plans based on plant species, select proper pruning tools, and be able to differentiate renovation pruning, rejuvenation pruning, and restoration pruning.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to identify landscapes that have suffered from improper, or neglected, pruning and determine strategies for rehabilitation, including care for mature trees.
