Mr. Halloin is one of the most experienced construction and real estate litigators in Wisconsin. He has logged thousands of hours handling construction or real estate-related hearings, trials and arbitrations, and he has handled hundreds of motions and witness examinations in the field.
He is one of the first and is one of a select handful of lawyers in the Midwest to practice in a narrow subset of commercial and residential construction and real estate litigation concerning toxigenic mold issues, Mr. Halloin has handled mold-related cases extensively since the first significant cases were filed in the late 1990s. Mr. Ofori-Amanfo’s broad-based experience includes investigation of construction defects and damage, investigation of condensation in building envelopes, evaluation of roof and wall leakage, field water spray testing of windows, and assessment of wind and hail damage to roofing materials. His work also involves giving expert testimony and assisting attorneys in resolving disputes over construction and materials-related problems. Prior to establishing Collins Forensics LLC, Mr. Ofori-Amanfo previously worked for many years at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE), the Illinois Department of Transportation and Twin City Testing Corporation. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana and his M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Mr. Ofori-Amanfo is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois.

Mr. Zimmerman’s practice focuses in the areas of construction and real estate litigation, alternative dispute resolution, commercial and residential real property, including title and survey analysis, and construction contract preparation and negotiation. He often represents contractors, architects, engineers and project owners in disputes regarding construction defects, delay, warranty claims, theft by contractor claims, right to cure and home improvement practices claims, and construction lien foreclosure. A significant portion of Mr. Zimmerman’s practice involves drafting and negotiating construction contracts through custom and model form contracts (AIA, ConsensusDocs, DBIA, and EJCDC). He has worked as an engineering technician for both private and public entities performing design and survey work on various large transportation, municipal and building construction projects throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

This course also examines ethical concerns involved with defects and failures.
