All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 3.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 3.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Speakers

Greg Halsted, P.E.

Senior Director, Local Paving for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA)

Mr. Halsted is responsible for increasing the paving market share for ready mixed concrete products through promotion, design, technical services, and construction activities at the local, regional, and state level. He has over 25 years of experience in the use of cement and concrete in the pavements and geotechnical industry. Mr. Halsted has knowledge of planning, design, materials testing, construction, and sustainability; has participated in numerous training and construction workshops involving state and provincial transportation agencies, public works departments, universities, material suppliers, and consulting firms; and has authored several publications related to cement and concrete construction. He currently serves as a voting member of several Transportation Research Board (TRB), American Concrete Institute (ACI), and ASTM International (ASTM) standing technical committees. Mr. Halsted holds a bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University and is a licensed engineer in the state of Georgia. Prior to joining NRMCA, he held civil and geotechnical engineering positions with the Portland Cement Association, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, and the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Course Title: Pavement Design Platform for Cement-Based Materials

Course Description: This three-hour course demonstrates how to design concrete pavements using modern tools and methodologies, specifically the free software known as PavementDesigner. The course explores its features, applications, and relevance to pavement projects. An interactive demonstration focuses on practical design scenarios for parking lots, streets, roads, and intermodal facilities. The course also examines the principles of concrete pavement design, material selection, and thickness design approaches.
