Lydia Archambo

Stormwater Coordinator at Allen SWCD in Lima, Ohio

Ms. Archambo serves as the Stormwater Coordinator for the Allen Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) in Lima, Ohio. In this role, she facilitates the Ohio EPA’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) requirements, focusing on educating communities about the importance of clean water. Ms. Archambo is also the Executive Director of the Ottawa River Coalition (ORC), a local non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between local stakeholders and the government on water quality issues. One of ORC’s current projects, “Tired of Tires,” has already removed over 105 tires from the Ottawa River, highlighting Ms. Archambo’s commitment to community involvement.

Paul Iorio

Sr. Project Engineer at StormTree

Mr. Iorio is an engineer with StormTree, a Rhode Island-based design and engineering firm specializing in integrating plant systems with stormwater management for commercial and residential applications throughout the Northeast. Over the past 25 years, he has designed and implemented soil and water pollutant removal systems that incorporate principles of bioretention and “natural enhancement,” including biological (bioremediation) and plant-based (phytoremediation) techniques, to achieve cleanup goals and support low-impact development solutions.

Prior to joining StormTree, Mr. Iorio worked as an independent landscape design consultant and contractor. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in plant, soil, and water sciences, as well as environmental engineering.

Cherie Koester

CEO, Earthworks Environmental

Ms. Koester is the CEO of Earthworks Environmental, a company she founded in September 2014 with the goal of establishing it as one of the most prestigious and experienced environmental consulting firms in the United States, specializing in dust control and stormwater pollution prevention. Drawing on her extensive experience, she has positioned the company for rapid growth and success.

Prior to founding Earthworks, Ms. Koester served as Director of Environmental Compliance for a large landscape maintenance and construction company in the Metro Phoenix area, where she created and managed the environmental compliance and safety division. Earlier in her career, she worked as a compliance inspector for the Maricopa County Air Quality Department, gaining five years of hands-on experience with development and construction industries while inspecting a wide variety of regulated sites and sources.

Ms. Koester is a recognized expert in stormwater pollution prevention and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). She is a member of the Clear Air Council for the Maricopa County Air Quality Department (MCAQD) and frequently leads public education presentations on particulate matter pollution, dust control regulations, and compliance with federal and local air quality laws. She is highly skilled in ensuring dust compliance, assisting regulated communities with rule interpretation, and providing cost-effective, accurate recommendations for job site practices.

Ms. Koester earned a Master of Science degree in International Environmental Technology Management & Sustainability from Arizona State University in 2011. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from ASU (2008) and an associate degree in business administration from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

Sarah B. Wood, PE

EHS Consulting Services

Ms. Wood is the President and Owner of EHS Consulting Services, a firm providing regulatory assistance with EPA and OSHA regulations. In her role as a consultant and coach, she works with companies to evaluate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) risks, implement corrective actions, and develop policies, plans, permits, and training to maintain compliance. She has assisted hundreds of companies in assessing their EHS risks and improving their compliance record. Her expertise in EHS compliance support is built on her experience as an EHS compliance auditor. Having served as both an external consultant and an outsourced EHS Manager, Ms. Wood brings a unique perspective on balancing corporate objectives with everyday facility-level needs.

Ms. Wood holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Tennessee, Arizona and West Virginia. She has also participated in numerous leadership programs, including the Fundamentals of Professional Practice with the Geoprofessional Business Association, a trade association focused on risk assessment and ethical industry standards.

In addition, Ms. Wood is a Gestalt Professional Certified Coach (GPCC™), trained to build awareness and foster better questioning through attentive listening. This combination of technical and coaching expertise enables her to not only evaluate EHS regulatory compliance but also guide organizations in implementing corrective actions and cultivating an engaged EHS culture.
